About Dr Ruma Dutta
Dr Ruma Dutta completed her undergraduate medical training in Nigeria. She moved to Australia in 1991 and completed her Australian Medical Council examinations in 1993. After several years working as a clinician at Concord Repatriation General Hospital in Sydney, Dr Dutta commenced her histopathology training at the Institute of Clinical Pathology and Medical Research (ICPMR) at Westmead Hospital. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2004 and served as a specialist dermatopathologist at Dutta Pathology from 2005 to 2010. In June 2016, Dr Dutta joined Kossard Dermatopathologists. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a member of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society. Dr Dutta frequently attends national and international dermatopathology conferences, teaches cut-up technique to laboratory staff and conducts regular tutorials for pathology registrars.

My medical qualification and internship was completed in the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
I migrated to Australia in 1991 and completed my AMC examinations in 1993.
I did my internship and 2.5 years of residency at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Sydney.
I completed my FRCPA in 2004.
I worked as a dermatopathologist at Dutta Pathology from 2005-2010.
I joined Laverty/Kossard in May 2010 and work full-time from then to the current day.
